I was furiously downloading the photographic gorgeosity from Michael Poliza’s Flickr page, when I found this awesome photo called, um, “hard work.” Think Nat Geo crossed with Boogie Nights outtakes. SFW, but only b/c it’s Science.
Oh, and he’s got a bit of snuff too. Elton John, eat your bloody baby elephant trunk out.

Those nerdy nymphets at Inky Circus up and launched an online magamazine when we weren’t looking. It’s slick and smart and profesh-looking, and y’all should go give them some traffic-love. But something about it still says “beta” to us. To wit, from an article about cognitive psychology:
Made you look! A naked body, flashed for an […]

Dashing, well-connected man-about-town that I am, I caught a Super Secret and Exclusive pre-screening of Alfonso Cuaron’s new sci-fi flick “Children of Men” last night. You know, the frat-boy’s dream come true dystopian nightmare where women can’t get pregnant anymore? Yeah. First off, let me concur with everyone on Earth that the flick is KILLER. […]

PBS science behemoth NOVA airs the second episode of its 60 Minutes-style newsmagazine show, “ScienceNOW”, tonight — and its host, “sexiest astrophysicist alive” Neil DeGrasse Tyson, apparently intends to shame America out of its rampant science-dumbassery.

His doc told him it was incurable. Adams said, “Eff y’all wack-ass bitchez.”

Just because no one […]

XKCD is one of the few (OK, probably the only) web comics on science that is worth a damn:

Although occasionally Diesel Sweeties does the medium justice. (And another.)

Maybe some of us here at FT central don’t do things “reliably” or “on time” the way the Man wants us to. Or maybe we just do believe in second chances. Sometimes, when a Frinker has to choose between gettin’ the job done and delectable post-doc tail, he chooses gettin’ the job done…with the tail. […]

Hear ye, hear ye. This latest commencement of Ye Olde Tangled Banke shall now come to order. Les Auteurs FrinkTank, presiding. The quicker we blow through these, the quicker we can get on to the real reason we’ve all congregated here: Hookers ‘n Blow. So let’s get to it…
